The 2017 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list is out! Where did your favorite artist place this year?

Every year electronic music fans around the world vote for their favorite artists in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, hoping to boost visibility and popularity of the music that they play. Though many fans and artists don’t take this list as seriously as in the past due to controversies that have plagued the poll, it is still seen as an indicator of where many of the popular artists in the EDM scene stand.

Announced today, the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs of 2017 were dropped over the span of the past four hours, and the results this year were fairly fascinating. This year, notable jumps include artists ranging from Eric Prydz to Alan Walker, as well as some major moves by Timmy Trumpet and Above & Beyond.

The hard dance scene saw some leaps forward this year, especially artists Radical Redemption and Miss K8. Also gaining ground were artists spinning house and techno such as Black Coffee, Claptone, and Solomun, who were all new entries this year.

Lost Frequencies came in as the highest new entry at 26 this year, with Danny Avila coming back into the Top 100 at 52. Notable drops include Steve Angello, Dillon Francis, and deadmau5, all of whom lost considerable ground in this year’s poll. Swanky Tunes dropped the most overall, losing 72 spots.

Artists like Madeon and Markus Schulz were absent from this year’s list, and this was also one of the first years that the legendary robots Daft Punk did not place. Claude VonStroke, head of Dirtybird Records and voted America’s Best DJ in 2016, was also notably absent from the DJ Mag Top 100.

Check out the full list below, and stay tuned as we will have our annual top 100 re-rank coming soon, but until then…

Congrats to Martin Garrix for securing the spot of Number 1 DJ in the world in 2017!
