A State Of Trance

Halloween is upon us so what better way to get into the spirit than to throw it back to the year 2014 and revisit an episode from A State Of Trance that will get your skin crawling from the very first beat!

This episode is seriously evil and demented, opening with screams of terror and including a sickening sound byte from the classic horror flick ‘The Shining’. Armin van Buuren was committed to highlighting tracks on his 666th installment of A State Of Trance that would pay homage to the darker side of a genre that has the tendency to get quite fluffy. This episode caused some serious buzz when it aired and It is one of my personal favorites as it is very different from what Armin normally brings to the table.

The artists highlighted on this episode are all of your tech and psytrance favorites including Coming Soon!!!, Jordan Suckley, Simon Patterson, Vini Vici, Indecent Noise, John Askew, AstrixSneijder, and even UMEK! And that is just a small portion of the talent that was mustered up to form the brilliantly terrifying Dark Evil Episode track list. If the talent isn’t enough to get your pulse pounding, throughout the episode you are subject to quite the array of disturbing sound bytes that add to the horror and link the tracks together to form one fantastically sinful playlist! Now take a deep breath and prepare to dive into the devil’s realm! Happy Halloween!

Maria first fell in love with electronic music in the early 2000's when she heard a little tune called "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi. Since then she has dived head first into the scene and become passionate about the trance, techno, and tech house genre's. Festival's like EDC, Dreamstate, and TomorrowWorld hold the key to her soul and dance music will always and forever be a major part of her life.
