In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal 2017, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”. Each week, we will feature bios of DJs who will take the stage at Dreamstate SoCal this year, as well as some beats to help familiarize you with their work. Next in our series is… Ruben de Ronde!
Don’t forget to check out the other artist bios in our series to get familiar with the rest of the new artists on the lineup!
Ruben de Ronde is more than Armin’s right-hand man, he’s a world renowned DJ and producer in the trance scene.
Though he is a staple on Armin van Buuren’s successful radio show, A State of Trance, the Dutchman has many musical talents in his arsenal. Over the years Ruben de Ronde has shown the ability to traverse multiple different subsets of the trance world. He has also been able to infuse classic trance with progressive tracks while also throwing in more chill, downtempo feels. Not tied to one sound, it allows Ruben to embrace multiple styles and wear many musical hats in the electronic music scene.

Not only is Ruben de Ronde the owner of Statement Music but he also co-hosts “A State of Trance”.
This is all on top of him being is an international producer and DJ. He has well-received remixes of songs by Aly & Fila and Above & Beyond, while also collaborating with artists such as Tenishia and Rodg on original work as well. In addition to being the co-host of ASOT, Ruben de Ronde also hosts his own weekly radio show, “Sound of Holland” featured on Afterhours FM and Sirius XM.

2017 has been quite a year for Ruben de Ronde!
At the start of the year, he released his second studio album, My Story. Later that year the prolific musician made his debut at Ultra Miami, played at EDC Las Vegas’s Quantum Valley, followed by an opening set at Dreamstate SF and a back-to-back- at Tomorrowland with Rodg. Speaking of Rodg, the two collaborated on a massive album called Togetherr” which received multiple positive reviews.
Overall, Ruben de Ronde has had a massively successful year! Unfortunately, I missed out on his San Fransisco set but I definitely will be sure to be front and center for his Dreamstate SoCal debut!
