In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal 2016, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”. Each week, we will feature bio’s of four Dreamstate DJ’s as well as a set from one of their latest events or some recent releases so you can get to know them better. Next in our series is…Kyau & Albert!

Kyau & Albert:

Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert, better known as Kyau & Albert in the scene, have consistently delivered massive, cutting edge DJ sets and emotionally produced singles. The two Germans have produced such hits like “Made of Sun”, “Are You Fine?”, “Another Time”, and “A Night Like This”. A little known fact is Albert himself does all the male vocals on their productions. I had the chance to see Kyau & Albert play at Avalon Hollywood back in 2013; it was an incredible night that included a closing set with Ronski Speed! In addition to Dreamstate and Avalon Hollywood, you can find Kyau & Albert playing their 20 Year Classics Set on their current tour.

Listen to Kyau & Albert – Memory Lane on YouTube:

Kyau & Albert founded their own record label in 1997 which features artists like Ronski Speed and Stoneface & Terminal. The duo has released remixes for trance heavyweights like Lange, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Gabriel & Desdren, Cosmic Gate and more. Their most famous remix is arguable “Jump The Next Train” by Young Parisans, which is regarded as a trance classic. In 2008, their single “Hide & Seek” won an International Dance Music Award at the Winter Music Conference 2009 in Miami.

“Euphonic Sessions with Kyau & Albert” is their monthly radio that you can subscribe to on iTunes and SoundCloud. It features 2 hours of the best new trance music found in the past month. Kyau & Albert also play audio clips from their fans who call in and leave a message during the radio show, which is something that most artists won’t do anymore on their radio. Don’t miss this 4 time ranked DJ Mag Top 100 duo live at Dreamstate next month!

Music is an integral part of Drew’s life, whether it’s listening to trance or house while working or at a festival. He’s always out to discover new and exciting sounds. When video games RollerCoaster Tycoon and Unreal Tournament were the hot new games, one of his friends that he knew through the community forums introduced him to trance on Digitally Imported and he soon fell in love with trance, happy hardcore, hardstyle and other fast BPM (beats per minute) genres.
