Dreamstate SoCal 2016 | Liquid Soul

In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal 2016, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”. Each week, we will feature bio’s of four Dreamstate DJ’s as well as a set from one of their latest events or some recent releases so you can get to know them better. Next in our series is… Liquid Soul!

Liquid Soul:

Nicola Capobianco, also known as Liquid Soul, is a Swiss trance legend who began DJing after becoming fascinated with the electronic world. Capobianco has been in the game for many years and has played under multiple aliases including Liquid Soul, Earsugar, Sleek and Liquid Ace (with fellow psytrance artist, Ace Ventura). In 1993 Capobianco focused on creating progressive trance tracks until 2001. At this time, he began to incorporate psytrance into his repertoire. 2001 was also an important year as this is when the moniker Liquid Soul was born. In 2006, he released his debut album, “Synthetic Vibes” which became one of the best selling progressive albums that year. He showed his skill and range in his tracks and in 2009 won the Beatport award for the best psytrance track. In 2010, he continued to show his dominance in the electronic world by winning “Best Beatport Artist” and “Best Beatport Track” awards for the category of Psytrance, at the annual DJ Awards in Ibiza.

Liquid Soul is an extremely prolific DJ/producer who has released over 100 tracks and full length albums. His style can be described as energetic and pounding while retaining the melodic and uplifting sides of trance. I have not seen him perform but have heard nothing but positive descriptions of his styles and often hear his sets be described as extremely moving and emotional. Liquid Soul is definitely one artists I am looking forward to getting to know and seeing live!
