Water Spirit Bends Reality on New Track

Water Spirit showcases their ever-growing storytelling ability with their latest track on Basscon Records, “Bend Reality.”

It’s no secret that Water Spirit has built up an impressive resume within the hard dance space over the past few years. From playing Basscon Wasteland to unleashing music on prestigious labels like Barong Family, the DJ, and producer has gone from a hidden gem to an undeniable powerhouse in hard dance with no plans of stopping soon.

The American Hard Dance standout has put the entire scene on notice through stunning releases and intense performances. The best has yet to come, though. They’re currently riding a tidal wave of momentum with bookings all over the States as they are set to make appearances at Escape Halloween in a special b2b with LLLLNNNN, and SVDDEN DEATH‘s Summoning of the Eclipse before closing the year off at Basscon’s new Wild West experience, Bullseye!.

To top it all off, Water Spirit is proud to unveil their latest double-sided single, Bend Reality/It Haunts, landing on Basscon Records. “These tracks are an example of the future of Water Spirit, mixing old school rave with new school kicks and sending it straight to your ears 160 bpm at a time,” the rising phenom said about the two tunes. This release comes just in time for spooky season as it takes listeners on a haunting experience backed by the disturbing (and comforting) sounds of hard dance, and we’ve got an exclusive look at its lead track.

“Bend Reality” instantly sends chills down your spine and prepares listeners for a path into the unknown. The eerie atmosphere is complemented by a vocal saying, “I’m here for you,” and a powerful melody that fits right into any sci-fi alien movie. What would normally provide a sense of comfort oddly feels misleading, almost as if nobody is really there for the listener.

This is proven to be true when Water Spirit unleashes an epic drop that provides a nostalgic dose of 303 basslines. They showcase their versatility through the use of different kick drums and genre hybrids as rawstyle quickly turns into hard psy in the second half. In the end, listeners are rewarded with a drop that showcases the rarely explored, melodic side of Water Spirit — a special treat for longtime fans.
