Tinlicker is getting ready to spread their sound all over Europe. In the lead-up, they make their [PIAS] Électronique debut!
Tinlicker, the multi-platinum Anjunadeep mainstay duo, have added yet another label to their discography. [PIAS] Électronique has scooped up “Slipstream,” their brand-new collaboration with Julia Church, a vocalist you’d hear by pressing play on tracks like “Emberz” by CamelPhat and Shimza, “9 Days” by Nils Hoffmann, or “Making Time” by Sultan + Shepard. It’s important to note that “Slipstream” was written and produced with the help of Nathan Nicholson, who is also responsible for placing the magic touch on offerings from Claptone, David Guetta, Rita Ora, and others.
With such a decorated group of individuals on this project, we certainly expect a grand reaction when the beat comes pumping through the speakers. Did it live up to expectations? Yes, the overall character of “Slipstream” matches the velocity of your body getting sucked toward the dancefloor. Julia’s dominant vocal performance is draped in elegance, allowing the listener to feel grounded and lifted simultaneously. Extra momentum is achieved through the magnetic melodic progression and tempo before the romantic guitar outro settles the experience.
But wait, there’s more! While Tinlicker is currently enjoying a romp around North America and India, come 2024, the duo will head back to their home continent to keep the party pumping. The Tinlicker Live European Tour starts on February 27 in Poznan, PL, at Tama. From there, they will make their way through the bustling cities of Vienna, Milan, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, London, and many more before wrapping up in Dublin at Vicar Street on March 28. This is definitely a tour worth booking a flight or two to attend!
