Monstercat Reveals Their ‘Best Of 2022’ with 40-Track Compilation

Grant Gilmore
Monstercat Best Of 2022

Monstercat looked to their global fanbase to help curate 40 of the imprint’s most beloved tunes this year for Best Of 2022.

Some labels look to those steering the ship to curate some of the best tunes they’ve released each year, but Monstercat wanted to flip the script in 2022. Instead of the norm, they opened up voting to their global fanbase to select their favorite releases on Uncaged, Instinct, and Silk. After over 33,000 votes were cast, the list was narrowed down to the 40 most beloved tunes of the year – and now you can listen to them all on Best Of 2022.

True to the dynamic nature of Monstercat, there’s something for everyone who loves electronic music on their Best Of 2022 compilation. Label veterans such as Infected Mushroom, Tokyo Machine, Koven, and CloudNone, while other standouts arrive from newcomers on the label that includes No Mana and OCULA. One of the immediate standouts is “Dead Man Walking” from Grant & Ellis, which became the highest-voted track and secured its place as the first spot on the compilation.

Other tunes that deserve mention include Sullivan King and Ray Volpe’s “The Dead March,” helloworld’s “2hard2letgo,” Chime’s “Rainbow Rave Parade,” Bossfight’s “Grit,” and Stonebank’s “The Power.” No Mana’s “Yesterday” and “Out of the Dark” both found a home on this compilation, while “Space Boy” from Rameses B, Feint, and Veela will kick you right into gear with some uplifting drum and bass action.

Additionally, this year saw the introduction of Monstercat’s Best Of Sub-Awards, which included No Mana as Best New Artist and Best Of Instinct, while Cloudcage and Feathervane won Best Of Silk and Grant & Ellis won Best Of Uncaged. WHIPPED CREAM gained another victory under her belt by winning the Trailblazer Award, while Katie from Koven took home the award for Most Voted Female Artist.
