Tune In and Drift Away to RÜFÜS DU SOL’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

RÜFÜS DU SOL has helped start the final month of 2018 proper with their debut on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix that is simply breathtaking.

There is no denying that this year has been a remarkable one for RÜFÜS DU SOL. The Australian trio released their album SOLACE that left listeners speechless and played sets both at festivals and while on their ongoing SOLACE tour that have allowed fans to soak in every drop of their sound. Just last week, they paired their track “Lost In My Mind” with a music video that provided quite the visual representation for the track’s moving lyrics.

Now, they’ve gifted us all with another offering before the year comes to a close with their debut on Pete Tong’s legendary BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix series. From the first moments until the very last track, RÜFÜS DU SOL brings everything we’ve come to love from them over the years to the table as they masterfully guide those who tune in on a journey into the depths of emotionally driven, powerful sounds.

While the two-hour trek features tunes from their latest album like “Lost In My Mind” along with the certified classic “Innerbloom”, it is the curation of tracks from others that really helps this essential mix stand out from the rest. Whether it is tracks from artists like Booka Shade, Cassian, and Jon Hopkins, or remixes from the likes of IcarusPatrice Bäumel, and Adam Port, each of the tracks featured act as puzzle pieces to create the stunning soundscape that the trio set out to create.

Check out the essential mix below or listen to it on BBC Radio 1’s official player and read on for the full tracklist of the mix to discover which artists were included!
