In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal 2016, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”. Each week, we will feature bio’s of four Dreamstate DJ’s as well as a set from one of their latest events or some recent releases so you can get to know them better. Next in our series is…KhoMha!
KhoMha:
He calls Armada his home and “KhoMha Style” his groove. His name is Robert Alzate but you may know him as the trance aficionado, KhoMha. Born in 1991 in a town called Medellin in Colombia, KhoMha knew at a very young age that music was his true calling. In fact, at the ripe old age of 14, he was filling his ears with the musical stylings of mega producers like Steve Angello, Pryda, Deadmau5, Arno Cost, and Sean Tyas! A great group to draw inspiration from, KhoMha set forth on his musical journey. At the age of 18, he would finally be recognized as a DJ to keep your eyes on and in 2010 his first release hit the airwaves. This track was called, “Magna”.
From the release of his first single, his fan base had been officially KhoMatized. With the winds of success blowing his way, KhoMha made it his priority to continue putting out tracks that were true to his vision and soaked in unique flavor. Tracks like “Dusk Riddles”, “Asylum”, “The Dark Knight”, and “Hydra” still resonate on the dance floor and remind us that we are dealing with a true artist through and through. Or how about his killer remixes of Armin van Buuren’s “Hystereo” and “The Expedition” (ASOT 600 anthem)? Two examples of his brilliance in reworking tracks from the biggest name in the industry, creating pieces that have the power to drive normal dance floors into pure dance insanity.

Just in the last few years, KhoMha has stayed busy in the studio, digging deep down into his bag of tricks to pull out more dance music gold with Coldharbour Recordings as his guide. His E.P. ‘El Malo’ is the perfect example, garnering a number 2 spot on the Top Album Sales on Beatport! ‘El Malo’ includes the title track “El Malo”, “Never Going Back” and “The Alchemist” and with the release of this E.P. KhoMha secured his spot surpassing most rising stars that we have seen as of late. Not to be knocked off of his game, just recently he made a brilliant decision to partner up with the lovable and super talented Orjan Nilsen for some collaboration action. The result was the power packed banger released on Armind (Armada) called “Los Capos”.

So, we have talked about his track history but what has KhoMha been up to as far as the festival and event circuit? Well, is it even a surprise that KhoMha has been everywhere on the planet including Electric Zoo in New York, A State Of Trance in Utrecht, Stereo Live in Houston, Tomorrowland Brazil, Ultra Music Festival in Croatia, Exchange in L.A. and everywhere in between! If there is a big event coming up or a festival that needs a little KhoMhatizing, he will gladly be there. This year, Trancegving will certainly be a special one! For it is the year that KhoMha will join us for a set that will excite, arouse, energize, and spark our trance souls back to life. I am personally beyond excited to catch his set. He is a producer that I have been following for quite some time and would love if you would join me when he takes the stage at Dreamstate SoCal! You won’t want to miss this one!
