Check out Jessica’s Top 10 artists playing at Sunset Music Festival 2016!
Sunset Music Festival 2016 is less than two weeks away, so I have compiled a list of my top 10 artists that I am most excited to see. Now I just want to say that these are MY top artists, so you may disagree with this list, each of us has our own taste in music and what we like and don’t like. With such an amazing line up this year, it was really hard for me to just pick ten, but here we go!

Seven Lions
Seven Lions is always in my top lists. After seeing him perform for the first time at EDC Orlando 2013, I fell in love. His ability to create a euphoric journey through music is astounding. He is an artist that is in his own genre to be honest. Jeff’s way to use music and visuals is what makes me coming back. This is definitely one artist to not miss, with his latest EP release of ‘Creation’ that has been blowing minds around the country. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for this performance!
The Chainsmokers
The first time I saw The Chainsmokers live was at TomorrowWorld 2014, and I was most definitely not disappointed. They love their fans and always put on a great show for us. Whenever they are at a festival I’m attending, I always make it a point and priority to see them live. After catching their livestreamed set from Coachella, an’t wait to see what they have in store for Tampa.
Galantis
With this duo, I was blessed to see them close out EDC Las Vegas 2015 at the Kinetic Field on Day 3 and it was magical. The feels that I felt during their performance was amazing, and every time I hear their song “Runaway (U&I)”, regardless of who is playing it, it always takes me back to that one moment I experienced with my friends and the memories we created. Not many artists have that ability today to have such a powerful track.
Marshmello
After hearing about the hype of Marshmello, it enticed me to check him out. I must say this is an act I’m excited to see live. With his signature helmet, no one knows who Marshmello is (since he hasn’t come out publicly about who he is). After all, he just wants to create music that people love, why does he need to show his face? From friends who have attended his show back in December, I have been told this is definitely one show not to miss.
NGHTMRE
After catching him at Life in Color Miami this year, I was blown away by NGHTMRE. I was certainly not disappointed by his performance, spent the entire set dancing and was absolutely blown away. If he is performing at a festival I attend, I’m making it a point not to miss him.
Mija
This is another artist I’m excited to see as well. Even though I haven’t seen her live yet, I enjoy listening to her music. Mija is a breath of fresh air to what is a highly male dominated profession. She definitely has talent that has caught my eye and I’m excited to see live. Friends who have seen her live have recommended her as another act to not miss.
Claptone
Just like Marshmello, Claptone keeps his identity hidden behind an old Italian doctor’s mask. Claptone has “an attitude and open-mindedness towards music,” which is what sets him apart from so many others. This openness for music helps him infuse his tracks with a strange ambiance, strong emotions and ever-evolving sense of narrative and that is why I’m excited to check him out.
Thomas Jack
With the constant increase of Tropical House, I’m interested in checking out Thomas Jack because of the feels I get from the music. The relaxing tone that tropical house takes is what draws me to it. With recent artists such as Kygo, helping catapult this genre here in the states, why not check Thomas out and see what this genre brings to the table.
Claude VonStroke
After hearing him play with Green Velvet in their collaboration duo, Get Real, this Dirtybird has most certainly peaked my interest. His enriched unique perspective on music, I’m excited to listen to just him live. Now don’t get me wrong, Get Real was amazing, however I just want to experience Claude VonStroke’s sound alone as well.
FuntCase
Now I’ve been hearing about FuntCase lately, especially after seeing Excision’s Paradox tour earlier this year. I love me some dubstep, which is one reason why I want to check him out. Apart from what I’ve heard about him, I’m excited to throw down during his set. I have been told he throws down some of the most filthy and catchy tracks out there. So this is another artist I’m very excited to see.
