In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”.
Each week, we will feature background info about DJs who will take the stage at Dreamstate SoCal this year, as well as some beats to help familiarize you with their work. Next in our series is… Khromata!
Don’t forget to check out the other artist bios in our series to get familiar with the rest of the new artists on the lineup!
If 2017 marks the resurgence of trance, it’s also the year that psytrance hit the mainstream – and if you love psytrance, Khromata is just the ticket.
Eileen Lewis hails from Bangkok, Thailand, and she is bringing the heat to Dreamstate SoCal this November. With a psychedelic trance style that is all her own, she has been hard at work, most recently playing as the U.S. label DJ for Iboga Records.
With a string of high-profile gigs under her belt, Khromata has had an incredible year in 2017. From playing the Oregon Eclipse festival to a spot on the psytrance stage at the TranceFamily SF 7-Year Anniversary gig at Pulse SF in July, she’s been bringing her signature beats to locations around California and across the country – and she’s just getting started.
Listen to Khromata – Iboga Records 20 Year Anniversary Hologram Show After Party DJ Set:
Khromata’s music fuses East and West for an energetic, underground spin on psytrance with a decidedly cerebral element to it. As prolific as she is inventive, she is constantly putting out new mixes and music, giving fans a chance to get a regular taste of what she has on offer.
Just this week, Khromata put out a brand new radio show called “Deeper”, named after an underground club in Bangkok in the 1990s that was very important to the Thai underground scene and taught her a lot about music. Her goal with the show is to get deeper into the sound and explore some lesser-known artists, so we’re looking forward to seeing what she will bring!
Check out her radio show for some fantastic mixes and some guest DJs that she will be collaborating with through the rest of the year!
