In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal 2016, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”. Each week, we will feature bio’s of four Dreamstate DJ’s as well as a set from one of their latest events or some recent releases so you can get to know them better. Next in our series is…. Jason Ross!
Jason Ross:
2014 was the year that Jason Ross made his mark with the release of “Burma“. It was this track that sparked the attention of both the Anjunabeats A&R team and trance mega stars Above & Beyond. To give him a shot and see if the rest of the world would respond to “Burma” as intensely as they did, the track was added to Above & Beyond’s weekly radio show, Group Therapy. The response was significant to say the least! Listeners fell in love and in no time the track was given the honor of Record of the Week. A couple more weeks on the top, and it wasn’t long before Jason would sign to Anjunabeats and begin his career mingling and making music with the big dogs in trance.
Since his debut, Jason Ross has continued to deliver dance floor gold. “Elements”, “Cairo”, and his collaboration with Wrechiski called “Atlas” that took over the #1 spot on the Beatport Trance chart. Also, his tracks “Coaster” and “Monarch” have earned the respect of some well known artists including Anjunabeats core of A&B, Andrew Bayer and Ilan Bluestone, Seven Lions, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Andrew Rayel, Andi Durrant, Markus Schulz, Ben Gold, Andy Moor, Cosmic Gate, Super8 & Tab, Dennis Shepherd, and Kyau & Albert. Of course it doesn’t stop there! His very first vocal track “Me Tonight” featuring Lauren Ray shot to the top of the charts and became his second #1 on Beatport. It was also added to the ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide 06’ compilation album. Through the last couple of years, Jason Ross has shown no sign of slowing down and has even come together to reveal some incredible remixes like his very own take on Seven Lion’s “Creation“. Just recently, he delivered two noteworthy tracks with fellow Anjunabeats brother, Ilan Bluestone, called “Amun” and “Meta“…two tracks that will continue to secure his spot among the leading men in trance.

When Jason Ross is not in the studio creating trance fire, you can easily find him performing at most of the major festivals and events spanning the globe. Having seen him live at EDC Orlando 2015, I can say that he has developed the perfect recipe for delivering an epic set. A little bit of energy, a dash of pulse pounding power, a hint of good vibes and loving emotion, all with that Anjuna sound that the trance universe loves so dearly. Sure, Jason may be fresh to the scene, but there is something special that happens when he hits the stage. The crowd responds to him like he has been around for decades. If he keeps up with the quality of work he has been putting out in the last couple years, then I think its safe to say that Jason Ross is here to stay for many more years to come.
