Before engaging in an epic standoff at Basscon Bullseye!, KAMI and Rewilder make their attempts to win over ravers attending the festival.
On December 8-9, Insomniac will present its new festival under the Basscon brand, Bullseye! Fans still don’t know too much about the festival other than its Wild West theme and essential information like the set times and festival map. We do know, however, that hard techno and hard dance music will come together under the same roof for two nights of pounding beats and electrifying melodies. Both sides are stacked to the brim with heavyweights of the scene, such as KAMI and Rewilder.
Both of these acts find themselves in the unique situation of being exposed to two different types of crowds, calling for elevated performances, unique experiences, and complete dedication. For both KAMI and Rewilder, playing at the debut edition of Bullseye! means they’re ready to take advantage of this platform to deliver banging sets and gain some loyal fans, so let’s dig into what each artist will bring.
KAMI has delivered experimental hard dance to the American scene for years.
The enigmatic trio has been considered the dark horse of American Hard Dance, representing the extreme side of the genre that promoters and event companies tend to explore the least. But at the core of their project lies a genuine love and appreciation for the harder styles.
Although the style KAMI brings to fans Stateside is niche, the trio consistently spreads the sound by performing high-octane sets.
Their unmatched energy has been prominently felt during their performances at EDC Las Vegas, Project Z, and Hard Island. “When all 3 of us are up there together performing side by side, we become ONE and feed off the energy from one another,” said KAMI. “Combine that with the energy that we receive back from the crowd, and the atmosphere is one of a kind.
For Bullseye! the trio is slated to take the stage in a versus set – the first of its kind for the Basscon brand – with one of the most underrated hard dance artists in America, DEATH CODE. For fans who didn’t attend Rumble In The Jungle, hard dance versus sets are unique as DJs battle to win fans over with the biggest weapons in their vault. KAMI and DEATH CODE plan to deliver tons of original music in this next-level audiovisual experience where no matter what happens, fans in attendance will come out the victors.
Basscon Bullseye! isn’t completely about hard dance, and Rewilder is heading to the festival to bring his hard techno sound.
On the other end of the lineup lies the rising stars of hard techno in America, like Clawz, Domina, Diamond Dallas Tex, and so much more! Among the star-studded roster of hard techno artists is a leader of the underground on the East Coast, Rewilder! The Neorave Nation label boss has roots in hard techno and aims to blend acid, screeches, and driving percussion with gated kicks and reverse bass – the epitome of filthy rave music.
Just like his productions are full of diversity, his performances include a little bit of everything as well. “I often bring a different kind of energy to each performance, catering to the theme or experience,” he said. “I’m honestly stoked to play some of my favorite Wild West-themed tunes into a high-energy set for Bullseye! Aside from the broad palette of music, Rewilder looks to incorporate the lost sounds in modern hard dance to create an immersive experience for fans of both genres.
As we gear up for the ultimate standoff, which side do you find yourself on? Let us know and don’t forget to snag your tickets to Basscon Bullseye! via Front Gate to experience two nights of electrifying beats!
