Clawz Sets The Tone For Basscon Bullseye! With Neo-Acid Techno

Clawz is getting prepped for Basscon Bullseye! and dropped off a mix that highlights the euphoria and aggression of Neo-Acid Techno!

For Los Angeles-based techno artist Clawz, hard dance music is all about true rave culture that bubbles with passion at the sound of epic breakdowns, chaotic drops, and high-energy beats. Just like she discovered her passion for DJing during a trip to the core of techno music, Clawz found her love for the harder styles during her travels to the heart of hardstyle in The Netherlands. Witnessing the true essence of hardstyle opened her eyes to the rapid evolution of the genre, particularly the heavy influence of rawstyle and uptempo kicks being used creatively.

More importantly, Clawz believes that hard dance is the revival of true rave culture as the genre grows alongside the classic four-on-the-floor kick & high hat percussion of hard techno. As the lines blur between these two special genres, the limits of rave music continue to be pushed, resulting in a wealth of creativity and innovation within the scene. Drawing influence from this unique era, Clawz built a home for herself with Neo-Acid Techno, characterized by fast tempos, acid basslines, and chaotic energy.

After delivering her fabled live sets that ride on the fine line of euphoria and aggression to fans worldwide, Clawz is set to return home to Southern California for the debut edition of Basscon Bullseye! Her charismatic personality and unrelenting beats will undoubtedly craft a must-see set that takes fans back to the roots, focusing on the music, the community, and the freedom that raving stands for. As she said, her set will put “less focus on genres and more focus on ‘let’s just have a great time.'”

To celebrate her debut at the festival and warm fans up for the madness to come, Clawz stopped by to spin up a special guest mix for Paradigm Shift! With influences from all over the music spectrum, like pounding kicks, distorted screeches, rolling basslines, and her signature, filthy acid basslines, there’s no end to the mayhem with Clawz. For Basscon Bullseye!, I’m most excited to play in front of a pure hard dance/hard techno crowd. Many people there will be new fans that haven’t heard my sound before, so I’m stoked to show them this newer blend of hard styles and open them to the world of Neorave/hard techno. I’ll also be playing some new original tracks and can’t wait to share them with the crowd! :)
