Apple Music Launches New Fitness DJ Mix Series

Loud Luxury

Aluna, Above & Beyond, Valentino Khan, and Loud Luxury are the first artists to grace the Fitness DJ Mix Series from Apple Music.

After months spent eating savory meals during the holiday season, many look to the new year as a time to get back in shape both physically and mentally. There’s no better time than the present to begin hitting the gym or taking yoga classes, and while those new year’s resolutions might fizzle for some, Apple Music is helping everyone attempt to avoid that with their latest DJ mix series focused on fitness.

The new Fitness DJ Mix series from Apple Music features four distinct subcategories, Ride, Run, Gym, and Yoga, to help fit different workout styles. Each month will feature a new mix from different artists in the dance music scene, but leading the pack are some of the biggest names who grace the stage today. This includes Aluna (Ride), Loud Luxury (Run), Valentino Khan (Gym), and Above & Beyond (Yoga).

Each carefully crafted mix brings forth some of the artist’s own work and their favorite tracks as well. For instance, Aluna‘s Ride mix begins slower but picks up the pace to guide those who are listening while riding to the “sweet spot” of 90 RPM with tracks such as Channel Tres’ “Topdown,” UNIIQU3’s “Microdosing,” and SOPHIE’s “Lemonade.”

Speaking to Apple Music, Loud Luxury shared their own experience with fitness with Andrew Fedyk saying “We’re both runners, and the hardest part about it is staying motivated. We made a mix that embodied what we would want to work out to and would keep us excited.” Their mix is filled with tunes like Biscits’ “Wait A Minute” and Nitti Gritti and Wuki’s “Swet” to keep listeners on pace.

Those who need an extra boost during their workouts should put on Valentino Khan’s near-hour-long mix as it crescendos into a high-energy frenzy with tracks from the realms of house and hip-hop. And who better to get your mind centered than Above & Beyond? They spun up the first-ever yoga mix filled with tunes from Jon Hopkins, Lycoriscoris, and more for the series which follows the energy and tempo of a vinyasa flow practice.

Check out all four fitness mixes on Apple Music and stay tuned as a new one will surface for each mix in the series monthly!
