Speaker Honey returns to her familiar home at mau5trap for the release of her latest EP, Interrupted, which features four fresh tunes to feast on!

One of the artists in the house and techno scene who has continued to impress fans and tastemakers alike with her stunning beats and energetic sets this year is Speaker Honey. Landing her debut EP on mau5trap, Night Visions, earlier this year, she showcased a flurry of quality tunes that left listeners looking for the nearest dancefloor or dark warehouse to vibe out in. Now, before the end of this wild year, she’s returned to the label with a fresh offering of tracks on the Interrupted EP.

Clocking in at four tracks, the Interrupted EP is yet another immersive release from Speaker Honey that will have anyone craving more of her tech house and progressive style. Kicking off with a pummeling bassline on “Drop and Roll,” the energetic nature of her sound is put on full display as she powers up souls and makes feet move to the beat. There’s no doubt this track will be a shuffler’s delight and we can’t wait to see everyone grooving away to this tune on the dancefloor.

“Dancefloor Dreamer” arrives soon after and much as its name implies it brings with it a dreamy soundscape filled with synths and perfectly placed vocals layered in for good measure to take the track to the next level. While the first two tunes on the EP give off the dancefloor energy, “In My Eyes” will have listeners descending into the darkness with an ominous bassline that will have anyone losing their mind throughout its runtime.

And we couldn’t think of a better way to deliver the finishing blow on the EP than “Take Away the Time,” a collaboration with Casmalia that will uplift in a matter of seconds with its blend of progressive and techno elements. These two San Diego-based artists have been making huge strides forward in 2020 and it’s clear that there will be no stopping them from continuing to dominate the decks in the new year as well with tunes like these coming from their brilliant minds.
