Ben Böhmer Releases Remixes from Debut Album ‘Breathing’

Ben Böhmer

Ben Böhmer continues to impress with his own originals and remixes, but now he’s looked other artists to put their spin on tracks from Breathing.

Although this year has not panned out as anyone expected, one thing that has helped keep us all centered and sane has been some seriously stunning releases in the dance music scene. New beats continue to be released and the ones arriving on Anjunadeep further prove that music truly heals the soul. Now, Ben Böhmer has re-emerged after gifting fans with his Printworks performance with some fresh takes on tunes from his debut album Breathing.

Already making waves in the scene prior to the album’s release, Breathing only further solidified the fact that Ben Böhmer is an artist that any melodic house lover should be paying attention to. The album quickly became a favorite of many Anjunafamily members in the waning days of the past decade, and now it’s received some fantastic remixes from the likes of CRi, Kidnap, Tim Green, and techno maestro Boris Brejcha.

Each remix, whether it be CRi’s take on “Breathing” or Gui Boratto’s rework of “Black Hole” are masterfully crafted. They pay homage to the original while still adding new twists as the artists imprint their own sound on the work of Böhmer. Personal favorites include Kidnap’s rework of “Hunting” that packs even more emotion into the tune, as well as Just Her’s version of “Little Lights” that will have you dancing in your rave cave in no time at all.
