Willaris. K Sets for Stun with New EP ‘LUSTRE’

Willaris. K

Willaris. K immerses listeners in unique soundscapes filled to the brim with moments of both tension and serenity on new EP LUSTRE.

If you’ve been searching for the next big sensation to come from Australia then look no further than Willaris. K. Over the past few years he has picked up some serious momentum with his stunning releases and support from major artists like RÜFÜS DU SOL. Now, he’s delivered an absolute stunner of an EP for us all to feast our ears on, LUSTRE.

Clocking in at six tracks, LUSTRE shows off the dynamic nature of Willaris. K‘s abstract work in the studio. Lead track “5 O’CLOCK” kicks off the EP and drives listeners forward with its building synths that provide plenty of energy. Next, he teams up with Tom Snowden to take things down a notch with “GET WITH MY LIGHT” for a true moment of serenity. This serene, vocal-driven style also permeates “INDIFFERENT” with its emotional lyricism from Gordi.

But the true standouts on the EP are the dance-fueled beats on previously released single “COBAKI SKY,” as well as “DETACH.” Both tracks bring their own unique sense of tension and release as you get lost in the soundscapes of Willaris. K’s creation and find your feet moving no matter where you are.

He then closes the EP with “PAST LIGHT,” an ambient tune that builds to leave you simply craving more from this rising star. But while you soak in the afterglow of this EP, you won’t have to wait too long to satiate your appetite for more as his next release, the Full Noise EP, is due up in May!
