Markus Schulz Jumps Back Into The Dakota Saddle With “Mota-Mota”!
Dakota fans all over the planet have been waiting since the announcement that Markus Schulz will be breathing new life into the project for 2017, and we have the latest Dakota track for your listening pleasure right here!
“Mota-Mota” is the first Dakota track to hit the airwaves straight off of his 2017 The Nine Skies project. It sees Markus joining production ranks with Dutch producer Koen Groeneveld, the man behind “Slides”, “1981”, “Baksteen”, and Spinnin Record’s techno imprint Abzolut, and gives a sweet nod to all you techno lovers out there. But this one is extra special as the production promises to be the most “out-and-out” techno expression that Dakota has dished out in 8 years and very different from what Dakota fans might be expecting. With a focus on the dark side, driving deep bass frequencies flood the track, accompanied by unique synths drizzled with warped hunting horns. The rhythm of “Mota-Mota” is simply addicting and is a breath of fresh air in a scene saturated with the mainstream. Now, could this be the new sound of Dakota? We will just have to wait and see!

“An auditory tale of the unexpected, a transonic ride to the dark side, a postcard from the musical edge – this one will scare the horses. Once more down the rabbit hole Dear Friends… and onto the floor “

“The Nine Skies is my representation of the nine steps we all go through to reach enlightenment in life. I want people to come to these special Dakota shows and open their minds to its music, message and its visuals – the trinity of which will take them on a journey. Your journey, their journey, everybody’s journey together. Dakota is darker in its beats, and wiser with the messages it wants to share with the world. Questions like ‘what is the secret of life? Why are we here on earth? What is our purpose? These are just some of the questions we have and The Nine Skies show will explore”.
