In honor of #TranceGiving, aka Dreamstate SoCal 2016, we want attendees to have the opportunity to get to know the talent who will be our “Trancegiving Tour Guides”. Each week, we will feature bio’s of four Dreamstate DJ’s as well as a set from one of their latest events or some recent releases so you can get to know them better. Next in our series is… Menno de Jong!

Menno de Jong:

This internationally acclaimed trance superstar started his musical career at very young age…as a teenager to be exact. His talent as a trance DJ and producer was born under the tutelage of classical piano in his homeland of Amsterdam. Menno de Jong is no stranger to huge labels. In fact, he first established himself as a passionate and talented producer with the release of ‘Guanxi‘ on none other than Anjunabeats itself. You might know some of his incredible trance hits like ‘Tundra‘, ‘Last Light Tonight‘, ‘Spirit‘, ‘Turtle Paradise‘, ‘Never Lose The Magic‘ or ‘Place In The Sun‘ which he produced in the years following his initial 2004 debut. Menno de Jong was certainly making a name for himself and the whole world was starting to notice. Huge trance names like Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and John O’Callaghan were supporting him while he took the globe by storm. He went on to perform at major clubs and festivals all over the world, including Electric Daisy Carnival, A State Of Trance, and Tomorrowland (just to name a few) where he would give his fans incredible marathon sets that would extend to 10 hours or more! If that wasn’t enough, Menno signed with Black Hole Recordings and was able to start releasing tracks on the In Trance We Trust imprint.

If you’re looking for a trance star, tried and true, look no further than Menno de Jong – this artist is constantly creating powerful work and won’t be stopping any time soon! His passion for dance music comes through every single note of his work. I love his ability to blend old and new, while constantly growing with the contemporary framework of modern trance. I saw Menno once for a 6-hour extended set in San Diego, and I can’t wait until I get to see him again at Dreamstate…I know it will be absolutely incredible!
