Drift off into a dreamland like none other with Robert Miles’ hit tune “Fable” that was released all the way back in 1996!
This week, we’re turning back the clock to 1996 and taking a look at “Fable“, a track from the late, Robert Miles. A titan in the dance music industry who was the inspiration for many that followed, he tragically passed away in 2017 at the age of 47 in Ibiza. Robert Miles was a pioneer of the scene and a true musician. A composer who was classically trained in piano, he eventually found his love for early synths. This would lead him to go on to start his own recording studio and pirate radio station.
Miles was most well-known for his trance track “Children”, but “Fable” off of his album Dreamland, was also one of his biggest releases. The song received universal acclaim by fellow artists and dance music lovers alike, allowing it to hit the top of the charts in a number of countries like France, Germany, and the UK.
“Fable” is a melodic masterpiece full of emotion and dream-like synths and was released in both instrumental (dream version) and lyrical (message version) format featuring the uncredited vocals of Fiorella Quinn. Clocking in at a six and a half minutes, this track is a dance music masterpiece created by an individual who deserves nothing but respect for his contribution to the scene. Robert Miles – Fable Lyrics:
A fable
Tell me a fable
Tell me a fable
Tell me a fable
A fable
Tell me a fable
Talk to me, tenderly
Show reality fantasy
We’ll bound together
All win in one feat
Talk to me, tenderly
Show reality fantasy
We’ll bound together
All win in one feat
Ooh ah
Ooh ah
The fable
The fable
The fable
The fable
Tell me a fable
Tell me a fable
A fable
A fable
A fable that will never end
And now, I dream
Dream
Dream
Ooh ah
Ooh ah
Do do ah
Do do ah
Ooh ah
