Ahead of his upcoming rework album, Muzz returns to Monstercat to release the first two VIPs – “Catharsis X” and “Children of Hell.”
Drum and bass DJ and producer Muzz has quickly risen to prominence within the scene through his undeniably vibrant tracks in tow. Since breaking onto the scene he’s developed a refined sound that has captivated audiences worldwide. He didn’t skip a step during the turmoil of 2020 with the release of his debut album, The Promised Land, and his legacy has only further been cemented by collaborating with Pendulum and working on various scores.
Now, Muzz is gearing up for the release of his VIP rework album to mark his return on Monstercat. Today, he’s gifted fans with two reworks of his most coveted tracks, “Catharsis X” and “Children of Hell X.” The first track, “Catharsis X,” comes from his 2020 debut album and features vocals from Koven. This tune offers a fast-paced tempo accompanied by a steady piano beat as Muzz melts the vocals into the eccentric synths for an upbeat and colorful version.
The second track, “Children of Hell X,” is an updated version of his 2016 single which channels a contrasted response with hard-hitting dark synths. Paired with an angelic voice, a brooding choir of voices echoes in the background as it delivers eerily deep instrumentation and a hectic rhythm to create the striking paradox between the two.
The variety shown through these releases proves Muzz’s ability to reach all levels in the drum and bass atmosphere. Be sure to check out “Catharsis X” and “Children of Hell X” on Spotify or your favorite streaming platform now, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
