Anjunabeats is helping everyone take a breath of fresh air in this chaotic world with the 15 hand-picked tracks on Chill Volume 1.

Life’s roller coaster is moving faster than ever in 2023. Months are going by in the blink of an eye, and with it has come a sense of uncertainty for the future, with problems seemingly surfacing by the day around the world. In these times, it’s essential to take a step back and disconnect, not just to appreciate the small moments that uplift the soul but to recharge your batteries to face what lies ahead. Anjunabeats has been at the forefront of that notion in the electronic music scene over the past few years, and now they’ve added another compilation to their mix, Chill, to help even further.

Anjunabeats and label heads Above & Beyond have been pushing downtempo and electronica soundscapes out for the masses to immerse themselves in with releases like Flow State and the launch of new sublabel Reflections. These atmospheric releases might be the most pronounced, but close listens to their albums like Group Therapy will also see several tunes in that realm appear, offering a touch of blissful beauty amidst their more energetic tracks.

With that in mind, it makes sense that Above & Beyond dominates most of the 15 tracks found on Anjunabeats Presents Chill Volume 1. Found inside are some of their most beloved tunes like “Filmic,” “Sun In Your Eyes,” and a pair with Zoë Johnston, “Treasure” and “Good For Me.” Two of their tracks with Darren Tate, “Mont Blanc Set Off” and “Cody’s Theme” also appear.

But other Anjunabeats mainstays have found their way into the first volume of Chill. Andrew Bayer gets a trio of tracks with “Gaff’s Eulogy,” “Tidal Wave” with Alison May, and “Lose Sight” with Ane Brun. Super8 & Tab’s track with Alyna, “Perfect Day,” lands to put a smile on your face, and you can’t help but fall in love with Genix and LYCA’s “Numb” and JODA’s “Dark Strings” to round out the collection. Simply put, Anjunabeats Presents Chill Volume 1 is a collection of the most sublime tracks to land on the label, so take a moment to let these soundscapes give you a nice, warm hug.
