“Don’t Be Scared,” lovers of drum and bass, because this new single from Bensley and Justin Hawkes on UKF is an absolute heater.

It’s impossible to ignore the impact that drum and bass has made on the current era of the scene in the US. Legendary artists are churning out some of the best work in their careers, rising stars are carving out increased space for themselves, and fans are flocking to the genre to soak up its sounds. It’s safe to say that there’s a bright future for drum and bass, and that’s due in part to the artists who are shaking things up as they climb the ranks of the scene, like Bensley and Justin Hawkes.

Canadian artist Bensley has made a name for himself over the years by bringing his dynamic sound to imprints ranging from UKF to mau5trap while showing off his immense curation abilities with memorable sets along the way. Meanwhile, Justin Hawkes made a huge splash of his own by taking his past influences from rock, country, and more to craft his stunning debut album, which has since received plenty of accolades. And while their solo sets have been fantastic, when these two began to team up for some b2bs, it was a match made in DnB heaven.

Bensley and Justin Hawkes have been on a tear in the scene since joining forces with impressive performances at festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Forbidden Kingdom, along with appearances during Brownies & Lemonade’s DNBNL. While their sets have been tremendous, one thing that was missing was a collaborative track between the two – but that ends today with the release of “Don’t Be Scared.”

Out now via UKF, “Don’t Be Scared” marries the two artist’s signature sounds to deliver a banging tune that is filled with punchy drums, synths, and vocal chops to deliver plenty of energy. They also play into the track’s title with some haunting elements for added impact, giving the soundscape a slightly eerie feel throughout its runtime. Play this one loud; you won’t regret it.

Listen to “Don’t Be Scared” on Spotify or your preferred platform, and follow Bensley and Justin Hawkes on social media to stay in the know on future releases and shows.
