Above & Beyond Follow Up with Full 'Tranquility Base Vol. 1'

**Above & Beyond continues to bolster their Tranquility Base project with the official release of Tranquility Base Vol. 1!**

It goes without saying that Above & Beyond has been hard at work revitalizing their beloved 2001 alias, Tranquility Base. It all started with five very special IDs being rinsed out at Group Therapy 500 in LA last October, and since then, the trio has been dying to make Tranquility Base Vol. 1 official. A couple of the IDs were re-introduced this spring, first with “Angry JP8“, a tune full of aggressive twists and turns. After its debut, Jono, Paavo, and Tony wasted no time in delivering the second snack, “500,” a dizzying production that had a major impact at Above & Beyond’s Printworks takeover in April.

Today, the final three tracks have officially landed, so let’s get into the highlights. First up is “Wasp.” As soon as listeners hit play, they’ll be introduced to a punchy rhythm under a slap of happy synths. But, while those elements keep the party pumping, the breakdown slows us down to appreciate the magic flooding the room before the backend revs the engines in our dancing feet. “VLECNO” responds by plucking listeners out of cloud nine and dropping them deep into the underground. It features a techy drive that burns through the brainwaves before switching gears with a breezy cinematic breakdown.

Rounding out the package is “Spin Off,” and this track does exactly what it promises. Tranquility Base fans will spin straight into their happy place with flighty instrumentals packed within an awe-inspiring energy field. Its all-around uplifting presence makes it a phenomenal choice to draw the curtain to a close on Volume 1. If these tunes are hitting you right in the feels, then you can get the chance to hear them in person if you make your way over to The Gorge in Washington on July 21-23 for Group Therapy Weekender. Tickets are still available but will likely sell out, so get them before you regret it!
