Desert Hearts Los Angeles is right around the corner, so ride the excitement with this playlist featuring Beth Lydi, Dusky, Lee Foss, Marbs, and More!
House, techno, and love might be Desert Hearts’ credo, but more than ever before, it’s the latter that we’re all leaning on. For a split second, emotions were shaken up when it was announced that Desert Hearts Festival would not go as planned due to increased costs. Moving from a camping event with non-stop music at Lake Perris to a two-day day party under The Torch at the LA Memorial Coliseum was not exactly what everyone had in mind, but this is where the love principle shines the brightest. With deep respect for what the crew has done for this community, the family has turned their frowns upside down, ready to let it all go as new memories are made at a legendary venue.
As the clock ticks closer to opening day on Saturday, May 6, it’s only appropriate that we fill our time with the beats that will be guiding us through the weekend. The lineup boasts a solid 44 acts, from house industry shapers like Mikey Lion, Gene Ferris, and Mark Farina to techno tastemakers like Desert Hearts Black mainstays Marbs, Rinzen, and Evan Casey. Yes, even the saucy Partiboi69 will be in on the action. As you cruise the eccentric lineup, maybe you find that a few names haven’t even landed on your radar thus far. It’s time to change that. For your listening pleasure, we’ve pieced together a playlist that features fresh to lightly-seasoned beats from every producer preparing to step up to the decks.
While you soak up the tunes, it’s important to note that recently, Mikey Lion took to social media and posted a walk-through video of the grounds, teasing the masses with the announcement that they would be bringing both the Desert Hearts and City Hearts stages, in addition to theme camps like Pile Palance and Healing Sanctuary. Desert Hearts LA will even include the fan-favorite fashion show and a full-on vendor village – and the news keeps rolling in…
Since camping is no longer a thing this year, Desert Hearts is taking over The Hoxton Hotel, and attendees can book for 15% off if they use the code – HEARTS. This is where the DH crew will be staying and congregating at the rooftop pool, so if you want to keep the good times rolling, this is definitely the spot! Need more convincing? The hotel is also offering free bikes to get back and forth from the festival, with helmets and locks included. Of course, the after-hours have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned as more info is on its way!
Single-day and two-day tickets for Desert Hearts LA are still available, so grab them now and then press play on our personally curated Spotify playlist. We’ll see you under the torch!
