Dalek One Brings Deep Dubstep to 19K with ‘Run That’ EP

Dalek One is out for blood and heads to Dirt Monkey’s 19K imprint with four bestial deep dubstep cuts on his new Run That EP.

Hailing from Colorado, deep dubstep mastermind Dalek One is back and deeper than ever. Slanging a heap of dirty bass beats, his ascent to the upper echelons of the subterranean side of the genre is unsurprising and well-earned. The bass maven has garnered support from industry powerhouses such as Truth, J:Kenzo, and Enigma Dubz, amongst many others who have fallen under the Dalek One’s impenetrable spell. Now, the budding don returns from the abyss with four guttural bass cannons on his new EP, Run That.

Out now on 19K, Run That brings all the grimy, swagger-filled flavor that 140 fans are searching for. Serving as one of the very few deep dubstep releases on Dirt Monkey’s imprint, this EP brings the hammer down with bone-breaking basslines and a battering of distorted synths. Big, bold, and everything in between, each track will beckon listeners to their knees in worship of Dalek One’s haunting atmospheres and monstrous subs.

Standouts include the title track, “Run That,” which is an absolute weapon of a tune. Record scratches meet a menacing chord progression before the tune reaches subterranean depths with an unforgivable assault of deep dubstep artillery. Backed by a slew of ambient noises like hollowed knocks and aqueous blips, this terrorizing cut strikes with a formidable flow bound to turn even the most reserved into complete animals.

Another highlight among the collection is “913 (Subs Go Brrr).” This one features walloping basses and ominous reverb in rapid fire, while the elephantine cut brings the heat with Dalek One’s cutting precision and expert layering of sound. Regarding the entire Run That EP, Dalek One notes “‘Run That’ is sure to rumble your inner being and send you into a meditative state while leaving your face screwed up by bass.” Honestly, we couldn’t agree more.

Listen for yourself and stream or download Run That wherever you find your deep and dark sounds, and let us know which track is your favorite in the comments!
