From the heart of Brooklyn nightlife, Elsewhere announces a diverse summer lineup including DJs, live music, interactive art, comedians, and more!
Bushwick, Brooklyn is arguably the epicenter of NYC nightlife, and while there is seemingly fierce competition, several venues stand out from the rest. Elsewhere may be the most unique in terms of the venue itself and its continually complex assortment of entertainment. This summer will see the musical talents of TSHA, Mary Droppinz, Ellen Allien, and the comedic talents of Fred Armisen, just to name a few. And if that diversity isn’t enough, there’s also a summerlong digital art installation from Nina Muro for all to see.
Elsewhere has several unique and appealing qualities that draw locals and travelers alike. First, the rooftop space is open all season, whether hosting a ticketed event or not, so revelers can head outside to chill when attending an indoor show. Second, with three unique stages, many different styles of events can be hosted on one, or multiple, stages. Third, there is a dedicated space that hosts semi-permanent digital art exhibits, each of which is sure to delight your mind.
Further, Elsewhere is part of the consent culture movement that is dedicated to creating a safe space for all. “Our goal is to always deliver on our core mission and provide spaces for all to feel welcome and partake in the joy of radical music,” said Jake Rosenthal, co-founder of Elsewhere.
Past events at Elsewhere have been impressive, especially considering how each one can feel so completely different. Sure, a dark techno event and a live music event are completely different, but the entire venue, crowd, and vibe seem to morph into a unique look and feel; one that is loosely curated by the organizers.
With both global notables and local up-and-comers, there’s always something for everyone on the bill at Elsewhere. Check out the summer lineup with ticket links below and don’t miss out on catching a show there this summer!
