V2 Presents Drops House-Fueled Lineup for Get Funky 2021

Memorial Day Weekend is set to be hotter than ever in Salt Lake City as V2 Presents brings a lineup filled with house heaters for Get Funky 2021!

As the number of vaccinations continues to rise and the future looks bright in the United States, promoters across the country have set their sights on the return of their festivals and shows. That return has been rocky as figuring out safety measures and when it will be safe to get back to dancing remain up in the air, but V2 Presents is optimistic with their announcement of the return of Das Energi and more recently, the re-launch of Get Funky.

One of the events that dates back to the earliest days of V2 Presents, Get Funky is focused on the sounds of house and techno and the lineup for their return on May 28-29 puts that on full display. Friday will see heavy hitters in the scene like Chris Lake and Wax Motif take the stage at the Great Saltair joined by other stunners including Jack Beats, VNSSA, OMNOM, and NVIA. Then, on Saturday, even more renowned artists including Tchami, Shiba San, and Destructo are slated to play while Drezo, Sacha Robotti, and Nate Lowpass round out the bill.

“We’re excited to revive this festival from V2’s past that holds so many cherished memories for older generations of ravers, and will soon create many new memories for the younger generation,” said V2 co-founders Brandon Fullmer & Jeremy Moreland. “2021 is all about inclusivity for the diverse community, and we’re glad to produce something dedicated to the lovers and creators of House & Techno music.”

One thing that remains on the mind of many is what safety measures will be in place at the event, and V2 Presents delivered some extra details there. They will be monitoring the situation and adapting the festival according to guidelines put in place with Utah’s health department. Additionally, they’ve also partnered with ReturnSafe, a solution for infectious disease management to help safely re-open in-person events.
