Los Angeles-based artist Kyle Walker has released two tech house tracks with a dark and dancey vibe on his Cruel Intentions EP.

With several tracks on Jauz’ Bite This! record imprint, Kyle Walker is an LA-based house producer that’s turning heads in the industry. Now, with his latest EP Cruel Intentions coming in hot on Insomniac Records’ In / Rotation imprint, it’s obvious that Kyle Walker is an artist that should be on all house music fans’ radar.

After stopping by North Coast Music Festival in Chicago to play a set at the curated Bite This! Takeover stage, Kyle Walker will be heading to Nocturnal Wonderland to play two sets on Sunday. Ahead of his appearances at the festival this weekend, the Cruel Intentions EP is a perfect way to prepare yourself for some serious dancefloor action.

Kyle Walker’s music, especially on this release, has a dark and sinister kind of vibe.

With a mesmerizing style of tech house, Kyle Walker will grab your attention quickly on Cruel Intentions. As soon as the bassline comes in over the banging kick drum in “Panic“, you’ll be drawn into the story being told in his music. With a sound that’s ready for both an underground warehouse party or a festival stage, this track is one of Kyle Walker’s best songs yet.

“Lies” has a similar feel, setting the tone with a big kick drum and a proper tech house composition. Once the drop hits on this one, it’s full of heavy bass and almost a minimal techno kind of vibe. Kyle Walker’s use of hi-hats in both of these tracks really sticks out to me. With a clear talent for taking command of a dance floor and making awesome tech house, Kyle Walker is an artist that we’ll be watching closely in the future.
