Celebrate the Final Days of Summer with Ferry Corsten and Johnny B’s “Hear It Now”

Let Ferry Corsten and Johnny B transport you to a beautiful tropical island with their track, “Hear It Now”.

Close your eyes and imagine feeling sand beneath your toes and hearing crashing waves in the distance. Now take a deep breath and smell exotic fruits mixed with the salty ocean breeze while listening to the sounds of light piano and tropical drums. These sights, smells, and sounds are exactly what is invoked when listening to “Hear It Now,” the latest collaboration by Ferry Corsten and Johnny B.

Ferry Corsten needs no introduction. Corsten has been a mainstay in the electronic dance music world as his stunning work traverses multiple genres with an emphasis on trance and progressive house. Corsten spent the better part of 2018 on a number of collaborative tracks with massive names such as Paul Oakenfold, DIM3NSION, and Saad Ayub for his Unity project in an effort to unite the factions of the trance world. In “Hear It Now,” he once again collaborates with a fellow artist, but this time, with mysterious newcomer Johnnie B.

“Hear It Now” is a track unlike Ferry’s earlier 2019 works “Surga” or “Freefall,” which are steeped in heavy trance layers. Instead, it showcases more of Ferry’s house style mixed with tropical percussion and ethereal piano chords. An element that stuck out prominently is the use of KARRA’s vocals. Pieces of this particular vocal stem from her Splice sample pack and have been heard in various tracks ranging from hardcore to trance. However, “Hear It Now” differs in that the full breadth and depth of the vocals are embedded within the track, not simply a slice, which allows them to flow effortlessly throughout. The track’s composition and the inclusion of Karra’s euphoric vocals makes this the perfect relaxing track for the end of summer.

Take a listen to the tune below, stream or purchase “Hear It Now” on your favorite platform, and let us know what your thoughts are in the comments!
