Claude VonStroke is back with his Works Well With Others EP, featuring the hotly anticipated “Tiny Tambourine” featuring Will Clarke.
Claude VonStroke is on a roll. The Birdfather has had an incredible year so far, with a packed touring schedule featuring appearances at Tomorrowland, Bonnaroo, and other major festivals and accolades including his Dirtybird label being named the label of the decade by Mixmag. Now, he’s released a brace of new tunes with two solid producers in the form of his Works Well With Others EP.
“Tiny Tambourine” is a collaboration between Claude & Will Clarke, and has been a staple of many Dirtybird sets already this season. The track features a hefty bassline overlaid with trippy synths and sounds. Combined with an echoey, monotonous vocal and the constant presence of the aforementioned tambourine, the track has an other-worldly feel that is nonetheless supremely catchy and has blown up dance floors all summer long. Will Clarke is a perennial Dirtybird favorite and has had a great year of his own, including several new releases and the recent announcement of his new tour.
“Daylight Dark Room” has an entirely different feel, with a bright, sunny melody that soars above a funky, grooving bassline for a sound that’s all its own. Collaborator Sébastien V remains a mystery, though rumor has it he may be a member of the core Dirtybird squad in disguise. His track “Funkulate” was featured on the recent Dirtybird BBQ compilation, and he provided a remix for Fisher’s smoking hot “Ya Kidding” this summer, as well.
Make sure to catch Claude VonStroke, Will Clarke, and the whole crew at their iconic Dirtybird Campout festival this summer, but don’t delay – ticket prices increase on August 20!
