Assemble the horde! The ‘lots of shows in a row: pt 2’ tour is about to hit 9 cities in the US and Canada this October!

Fresh off of his ‘lots of shows in a row’ tour, Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5 is poised to return to touring life this October by bringing Cube 2.1 to the Great White North with a lone stop in the United States.  The new tour, referred to simply as ‘pt 2’, features 8 stops in Canada with a Southern jaunt to the incomparable Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.  Fans have come to expect the very best in stage production from the man of many mau5 heads and if ‘pt 2’ is anything like the original ‘lots of shows in a row tour’, prepare to be blown away.

Check out Erin’s take on the show in Chicago, here!

The ‘lots of shows in a row: pt 2’ tour kicks off at The Colosseum in Windsor, Ontario on Friday, October 6th.  The tour continues with another show in Toronto before heading over to Montreal and Alma Quebec to round out the first leg of the Canadian dates.  Splitting the tour evenly in half, the mau5 then heads to Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado for a two night run before embarking upon the second leg of the Canadian tour.  The last half of the tour features stops in British Columbia, Alberta, and finally at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday, October 31st.

“At the end of the day, I’ll just do what I like to do musically anyway.”

–  deadmau5

If you attended a stop on the original ‘lots of shows in a row’ tour, you know this quote to be true.  While some were put off by a noticeable lack of mixing between tracks, deadmau5 addressed this very issue by saying that he is “starting to appreciate or at least come to grips with it’s okay to just end the song and then do another one. I’m not a DJ, I’m not up there blending songs together in a harmonious way that aren’t mine, that creates this seamless flow.”  Expect more of the same for ‘pt 2’ of the ‘lots of shows in a row’ tour.

Whether you consider yourself part of ‘the horde’ or not, do yourself a favor and make plans to see a show on this tour – it will be well worth your time.
