Brilliantly inspired and immaculately delivered, Balance is an album that reveals the incredible musical prowess of Simon Templar
We begin with “Balance”, the title track that sets the pace for a magnificent collection of ethereal beats that hit straight through the soul. As the dreamlike melody flows effortlessly, suddenly we are met with a dive into deeper territory, literally balancing out the track as light clashes with dark. “Fly With Me” answers back, holding strong to the deep dark vibes set forth by the opening track with chunky drums and melancholy synths, set on top of a tempo that will get you off your chair and straight onto the dance floor.
In keeping with the theme that is saturated throughout the first half of the album, “Golden Ratios” and “Bead Town” add yet another layer of character with heavy progressive melodies, driving basslines, and creative details that inspire you to listen closely. Pulling back a bit,“Sunday Rain” marks the midpoint of ‘Balance’, delivering a beatless intermission that brilliantly sets the scene & builds the anticipation for its second half.

“Skyline” ushers us into a new realm of conscious understanding with some seriously powerful ear candy, perfect for prime time hours at the club. This track sets us up perfectly for Simon Templar’s most recent single, “Morning Sun”, amping up the energy with a glorious tech trance build, filling the airwaves with an intense beat structure, nodding to Templar’s trance genius. With the trance flames burning bright “The Eternia” adds even more fuel, with tantalizing progressive riffs and energy for days.
Next up, Simon Templar revisits an old favorite. Having already served “To The Stars” two ways since its initial release back in 2014, Simon returns to the track dishing out a third electrifying outing on “To The Stars III”; the perfect addition to round us out and lead us into the final two tracks of the album. Switching gears and flexing his multidimensional muscle, “The Fog” pushes ‘Balance’s into stormy Psy territory, with a quirky and mystical vibe that is nothing short of insanely addicting. And with that, we have reached the pinnacle. To close out the album, “Jing & Jang” offers up a thrilling, left-field mic drop; deep, dark, slow, and mysterious. The perfect farewell after a nonstop power session of delicious trance delicacies.
