The song made its first public appearance over six months ago in a Diplo & Friends mix. The wait has been grueling but the song is finally out, and we couldn’t be more stoked for “No Mercy” by the one and only Vincent.
The track been played out by mainstays in the trap scene like Boombox Cartel and Ekali, and it deserves every piece of recognition it will receive and more. “No Mercy” is a certified banger that is sure to please almost any bass music enthusiast. It’s been quiet on the Vincent front as of late, having been almost five months and counting since he released “Her”. He hasn’t been hibernating though, coming off massive appearances at Audio on the Bay, Alison Wonderland and Friends, and even a guest appearance at Electric Daisy Carnival.
The song starts innocently enough with a sweeping melody and piano-esque sounds filling the room. The innocence is not long lasting though as the song quickly builds with a reverberating bass background. Before long the claps lead into a classic trap stutter leaving room for the signature fat horns Vincent is known for. The song fills everything we’ve ever wanted in a trap track. Painting an almost reminiscent picture of “Tell Me” by RL Grime & What So Not two years prior.
One thing is for sure, the future is as bright as ever for this budding young producer. We’ve followed him closely and anticipate only great things from him in the coming months.
P.S. Vincent, send us that MEDASIN collab.
