Audio Noir’s “In The Mix 002-Progressive Sessions”

Bonzai Progressive started it off right last year when they introduced their first “Progressive Sessions“, shining the spotlight on Brussels own, Airwave. With such an excellent response, round two would have to be even greater. When Australian Audio Noir was offered the spot, he gladly accepted and has delivered a piece of work that ranges in unique sub genres of deep house, progressive, trance, and techno. Taking inspiration from Northern Exposure and the early Global Underground, Audio Noir takes this album to a very special place that highlights his talent in track selection as well as production. This mix compilation follows his release of his own “Artificial Star” and “Progressive Tales 2” EP, the latter being available for purchase on Beatport. Audio Noir is not afraid to reach far outside the box when it comes to putting together a quality record and “In The Mix 002- Progressive Sessions” is positive proof of that. In this mix he allows us to explore music outside the realm of mainstream and does it with precision and class.

For me, listening to this album took me far outside the music you would normally catch me listening to. But, I was drawn in from the very beginning. So different, very relaxed, with infectious lyrics that seem to beckon you to continue on and commit to exploring each track that Audio Noir has chosen for this record. He gives you a glimpse of his Australian music taste, full of slow progression, dark tones, and melodies full of emotion. Tracks that make you dive into your consciousness and tracks that unlock your curiosities. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album as I sat on my deck and watched the water on the Gulf of Mexico ebb and flow. Now its your turn. Pick your favorite spot to relax, throw on this album, and let your stress just float away.
