Ship2Ship Tour 2016 || San Diego Event Review

Ship2Ship Tour 2016: San Diego There are not many popular venues in San Diego that I haven’t visited at least once. Boasting of a plethora of Vegas-style Nightclubs and smaller venues like Bang Bang or Cake, the downtown portion of San Diego is definitely an area that is on the rise in the electronic music scene. With venues that play host to different vibes and different sounds, what is lost more often than not is a unique San Diego feel. This city, many people that reside within it, and the businesses that operate in its limits are more often than not...

Madeon at Club Nokia LA || Event Review

Madeon at Club Nokia, January 22nd I first heard about Hugo Pierre Leclercq, better known as Madeon, about four years ago through “Finale,” the opening song for the PS3 game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. My husband and I loved the intensity the song brought to the game and immediately wanted to hear more from him. A friend recommended the highly acclaimed “Pop Culture” on YouTube and we were instantly impressed by Madeon’s range and ability to condense 39 different songs into a three-minute, 30-second mash-up. Then and there, we decided that we needed to see him live. On January...

Lucent 5 || Ashley’s Pure Trance Experience

Several weeks have passed since Solarstone‘s open-to-close performance for Lucent 5 at Spin Nightclub. He’s the man behind the ‘Pure‘ crusade, known to assert the essential roots of the trance genre through the plethora of mainstream music that veils it. That alone makes him an honorable musician, but journeying six hours through the depths of his artistry would induce an entire new level of respect for him. It was my first time at Spin nightclub. It’s a small venue with three floors, though for that night only the bottom floor was open for business. There were plenty of crevices to sit or relax. I was disappointed to find that the top...

Madeaux at Bang Bang || Event Review

Friday night was a great night for San Diego. So many DJ’s playing tonight, it was difficult deciding who to see. It wasn’t until I was in Downtown before my sights were set on going back to my favorite club in SD, Bang Bang. Tonight’s headliner was Madeaux. He’s been making some monumental steps lately. He has recently: signed with Fool’s Gold (A-Trak and Kanye West), headlined New Years at Sound Nightclub, and made some super nice music. Tonight was no exception, he put on an amazing show. Check out my full experience below!   Dinner at Bang Bang...

Nora En Pure Announces No Xcuses Vs. Enormous Tunes Tour

We recently caught up with EDX, who was eager to share the lineup and additional details of his No Xcuses vs. Enormous Tunes Bus Tour, a month long tour bringing Swiss house music to fifteen cities around the United States and Canada starting in February. With the tour gaining momentum on social media with under a month before the February 19th kickoff show in Washington DC, Enormous Tunes’ own star Nora En Pure has been bringing attention to the tour, and herself, with her consistently impressive hits.  She had a great 2015 – and the hypnotically catchy track “Morning Dew” was...
