Terravita at Foundation (Seattle)

Terravita ~ Foundation Nightclub ~ Seattle ~ 4.1.2015 It may have been April Fool’s Day, but this was no joke! Clever quips aside, this was my first time finally getting to catch Terravita in action.  I’d been feeling sick earlier that day, but refused to miss this formidable duo for anything.  Their performance was nothing short of outstanding and is easily still one of my all-time favorite shows at Foundation.  My impressions of the evening began as the show did, with the openers. The night kicked off with Highdrops, a talented pair of Seattle bred DJs whose skilled collaborative efforts...

Impulse and Incident: A Summer Night with the Pegboard Nerds

Enveloped in ennui earlier that fateful day, I was mindlessly scanning Facebook when I spotted a banner for the Pegboard Nerds playing that night in Portland. The prospects of catching the Nerds jolted me upright, and I determined that I could comfortably make it if I left within the hour. Tommy Trash at LIV Miami || Event Review

Located inside Miami Beach’s Fontainebleu Hotel, my first impression of LIV Miami was that it tends to cater to the “see and be seen” crowd, hosting popular DJs every week in an upscale environment. Outside of LIV, a large, bright, circular bar in Fontainebleu’s lobby was playing popular...

Coldharbour Night at Avalon Hollywood || Event Review

I eagerly gathered alongside hundreds of fellow trance devotees for Coldharbour Night last weekend at the acclaimed Avalon Hollywood. It was my first time at the venue after just recently moving to Los Angeles. For those new to the LA club scene like myself, Avalon is known as a historic monument as well as one of the best clubs in the city. Coupled with world renowned DJs and a spacious dance floor, it’s the perfect spot for electronic music lovers to dance into the wee hours of the night – and Avalon definitely lived up to its reputation. A little history of the label; Coldharbour Recordings was founded by Markus Schulz...
