Kyle Walker’s music, especially on this release, has a dark and sinister kind of vibe.
With a mesmerizing style of tech house, Kyle Walker will grab your attention quickly on Cruel Intentions. As soon as the bassline comes in over the banging kick drum in “Panic“, you’ll be drawn into the story being told in his music. With a sound that’s ready for both an underground warehouse party or a festival stage, this track is one of Kyle Walker’s best songs yet.
“Lies” has a similar feel, setting the tone with a big kick drum and a proper tech house composition. Once the drop hits on this one, it’s full of heavy bass and almost a minimal techno kind of vibe. Kyle Walker’s use of hi-hats in both of these tracks really sticks out to me. With a clear talent for taking command of a dance floor and making awesome tech house, Kyle Walker is an artist that we’ll be watching closely in the future.
