SG Lewis and AlunaGeorge leave us “Hurting” with a new single.
UK songwriter and producer, SG Lewis, release a banging new club track with AlunaGeorge for phase two of the three-part concept album. Dusk, Dark, Dawn summarizes the associated feelings with different stages of a night out through songs. “Hurting” is the first single released on the Dark EP and I find it to be the perfect way to introduce the dark phase. Aluna’s beautiful and alluring vocals really have you feeling as if you were hurting for a long lost love. With a deep house and electronic night-lit vibe, this track is nothing but energy from the start to finish. – Julia

YOOKiE releases blistering-hot “Bassquake” on Kannibalen Records.
After YOOKiE released their uniquely gross “Pop Rocks”, we’ve been keeping our eyes on these bass-loving brothers. Released on Black Tiger Sex Machine’s Kannibalen Records is “Bassquake” featuring Jeff Kush, a lurking beast frothing at the mouth with ludicrous snare and deep and dirty bass undulations.
YOOKiE combines an echoed kick and subterranean bass reverberations with beautifully simple strips of pure silence. This track is a great example of just how loud silence can be in heavy bass tunes, and the blank space in between wubs adds a breathtaking intensity to the sonic composition. Get “Wild” with Godlands’ new bass-heavy trap banger!
Coming hot off her debut tour, Australian trap and bass artist Godlands returns with brand new single “Wild”, and that’s exactly what it is. Complete with a jungle-esque atmosphere of animal hoots and howls, “Wild” gets dirty with some grimy wubs and a metallic sonic patter.
The second half of the track breaks into a hip-shaking bass house beat before bringing back some trap infusion. “Wild” is one of many examples of how Godlands is an up-and-coming artist you should definitely be keeping an eye out for. Justin Jay Gives Walker & Royce’s “Take Me To Your Leader” A Sexy Smooth Remix
After delivering a slew of house bangers like “Cash Money” in the past months, Justin Jay’s slowed things down with this masterpiece of a remix, and I couldn’t be happier about it. He puts a totally new spin on “Take Me To Your Leader,” keeping the hook and melody but completely switching up the vibe of the track, bringing in atmospheric, euphonious progressions. It’s one of those songs that just instantly relaxes you, and slowly but surely gets you moving and grooving before you know it. The Dirtybird fam sure delivered per usual on this one! – Grace

Calvin Harris and Sam Smith pair perfectly on “Promises”!
There is something very special about Sam Smith’s voice. His vocals are entrancing and will immediately rope you into a track. “Promises” showcases both artists’ respective talents and has a soulful funky vibe. The vocals pull you into the track while Calvin Harris’ beat gets your toes tapping.
Unlike Calvin’s other high energy dance tracks this one has a larger focus on the melody and vocals. Sam Smith hasn’t featured on many electronic tracks since Disclosure’s “Omen” and “Latch”, but let’s hope we get more productions from both artists. It has been too long! – Zach

Ferry Tayle takes listeners into a state of uplifting with his new track “Mystery Fear”.
Trance producer, Ferry Tayle, is at again producing tracks that are the epitome of the beautiful, uplifting Trance sound. Released on FSOE Fables this week, “Mystery Fear” is a stunning piece that starts with a great melody and eventually breaks down into a slow, uplifting section that is accompanied by alluring vocals.
After the gorgeous breakdown, Ferry Tayle slowly lifts you back up into pure bliss. It’s the type of track that brings goosebumps where you can close your eyes and just simply feel the music inside you. I expect nothing less of such a great producer like Ferry Tayle, and I’m sure we’ll hear this one in all upcoming Trance radio shows. – Cassey
