Genix brings a new direction with his latest productions bridging his old school style with techno and tribal-based elements.

Genix is back with a new EP release featuring tracks “Rogue” and “For Those We Lost” on Anjunabeats. The new two-track EP was originally premiered by Above & Beyond during Miami Music Week at Ultra Music Festival and their show at the RC Cola Plant.

“Rogue” opens with a spacey, old school trance synth melody that builds with his signature angelic vocals that we’ve loved in previous productions. The radio edit of the track shows the predominant progressive structure of the track, where it finally drops into a banging techno and progressive drop.

“For Those We Lost” is dedicated to a dear friend of his and is overall more uplifting, but keeps that similar progressive structure. Its payoff with the drop is powerful, leaving us no choice but to crank it loud. While the opening track features more of a piano synth drop for the old-school flavor, the second brings us back to those Gorge vibes we loved last fall.

This is definitely an EP that you’ll want to grab now via Beatport.

For even more from the UK DJ and producer, check out this week’s Group Therapy radio show which features a Guest Mix with his latest EP and more, which you can listen in on YouTube.

And if you will be joining us in May under the electric sky, be sure to check out the Dreamstate night at Marquee on Thursday where he’ll be playing alongside Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, and Arkham Knights. Plus he’ll be playing an exclusive b2b set with Sunny Lax at the Saturday Anjunabeats takeover of quantumVALLEY at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.

Music is an integral part of Drew’s life, whether it’s listening to trance or house while working or at a festival. He’s always out to discover new and exciting sounds. When video games RollerCoaster Tycoon and Unreal Tournament were the hot new games, one of his friends that he knew through the community forums introduced him to trance on Digitally Imported and he soon fell in love with trance, happy hardcore, hardstyle and other fast BPM (beats per minute) genres.
