It is my favorite time of year, Insomniac’s annual Halloween event is upon us. Returning for its 6th year in a row, Escape: Psycho Circus is going to be a night full of dope beats, scary sights, and lasting memories made with friends. Reminder To Mind Your Belongings
Unfortunately, many people have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses and other valuables during this festival season. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, there are opportunistic people who come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting party goers and it’s important to be mindful of your valuables while at Escape: Psycho Circus.
Pay attention to who’s around you and what’s going on around you. Keep your wallet and phone in your front pocket(s) if you can. Treat your phone the same way you would treat cash; don’t set it down on a table or bar and look away. If a friend isn’t standing behind you in a crowd, be careful of your backpack or purse, and don’t put valuables in a pocket that could easily be unzipped by someone behind in a crowded spot without you realizing.
Escape: Psycho Circus and Festivals in general are a very densely populated place, and are a well-known place where pick-pocketing of unsuspecting people occurs. It’s easy to find yourself in a crowded environment in a line, crowd in the festival, elevator, or even out on the street where someone could slip your wallet or phone our of your pocket or bag in a matter of seconds. Stay alert, be careful, and make sure to not carry more than what you need!

This year was HORRIBLE. I have never ever been to such a disorganized event. The staff could have cared less. I had to go through general admission – just to end up going to VIP which took me TWICE as long. The VIP went slower then general admission. Bathrooms were not properly shown if they were for women or men. It was absolutely disgusting. Over crowded. As for audio – it was extremely quiet. You had to be up close to even get the full experience. The crowds now a days for insomniac events SUCK. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING TO THESE EVENTS. It’s a bunch of people who don’t have their S*** together and constantly run into you. The whole event was a mess. VIP didn’t feel like the VIP experience. I had to wait 20 minutes for a bracelet that I guess I ‘absolutely’ needed. It was awful. I paid a lot of money for pretty much a terrible experience. I never write reviews, but this was terrible enough for me to even bother writing one.
I agree to am extent, I am mostly concerned about after tiesto played hos set the sound engineering completely turned to s***. It was essentially unlistenable and honestly just sad. It made the djs look bad and for the last two sets at the slaughterhouse it is unacceptable! I emailed insomniac about my concern and expecting them to make a formal apology to everyone at the event. For keep their reputation as a company, insomniac needs to do this, besides that I am done with escape, they improved the layout of the event but they needed to make an apology and fix the sound quality and light show during the event instead of trying to play it cool and hope that people didn’t notice
