After seven years of waiting, Anjunafamily can rejoice as Above & Beyond revealed that their fifth album, Bigger Than All Of Us, is due out this summer!
Announcements continue to fly in from all directions as Above & Beyond celebrates 25 years of Anjunabeats, and the latest piece of news is something that Anjunafamily members have been waiting years for. Today, the trio revealed that their fifth studio album, Bigger Than All Of Us, will arrive this summer.
Bigger Than All Of Us will arrive seven years after the release of Common Ground. During that time, Above & Beyond embarked on other projects, which included 2019’s yoga and meditation-centered album Flow State, a soundtrack for The Last Glaciers, and the re-emergence of their Tranquility Base alias. James Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness also focused on work outside of Above & Beyond, releasing albums JODA, Deeper Tales, and Salt in recent years. Now, they’ve embraced the spirit of reconnection for their newest body of work.
This album is us appreciating how amazing this thing we have is. The realization of how lucky we are that we get to be part of something like this for 25 years, and to have built a community that cares for each other in the way it does. It’s not about any of us individually. When we all work together to make something happen, something bigger happens.

While the full tracklist for Bigger Than All Of Us remains a mystery, Above & Beyond has revealed the album’s newest single, “Quicksand (Don’t Go).” First heard during the trio’s performance at ABGT600 in Mexico City, this track sees them team up with singer-songwriter Zoë Johnston, who has been a frequent face on hits like “No One on Earth,” “Alchemy,” and “We’re All We Need,” among others.
Above & Beyond considers Zoë Johnston “part of the band” after working with her for over two decades. “By that token, a song with her vocals is a very reassuring thing for our audience,” they said. “It says: Above & Beyond are back, in a very recognizable form.” The tune, which will be released on March 21, features Johnston’s signature lyrics that are deeply personal yet universally touching.
I think most of us can relate to that feeling of desperation and dread when it comes to losing someone we love so deeply. The despair can be massive when you’re watching the grief rattle down the track toward you for quite some time before the moment of impact actually happens. Disappearing into quicksand. It’s scary, it hurts, and it’s lonely. Hopefully, a song like this will make anyone going through the pain of a seismic loss feel a little bit less alone.

The presale for that stop kicks off on Wednesday, March 26 at 10am GMT. Head to Laylo to sign up for access.
