SG Lewis took control of the crowd at the Do LaB stage during the first weekend of Coachella with an impressive performance.

While the lineup that Coachella offers each year is always larger-than-life and filled with top-tier artists in the scene, there’s a corner of the festival that continues to prove time and time again that they can make some magic happen as well – the Do LaB. Nestled between the behemoth structure of the Sahara stage and the ever-growing Mojave, this area on the Polo Grounds has become a home away from home for those looking to get a wide array of beats.

This year saw the Do LaB curate an impressive lineup of their own to draw in anyone looking to boogie or get down to some bass beats with the likes of Justin Martin, Skream, Nala, Rinzen, Vintage Culture, TEED, Elohim, DEATHPACT, and Mary Droppinz. But while those artists left crowds impressed, the surprise guests who took the stage kicked everything up a notch. This included the likes of Subtronics, Jauz, John Summit, DJ Hanzel, LP Giobbi, Hayden James, and SG Lewis, among others.

While fans of those artists have yearned for their sets to be released for the world to hear, one of them has just surfaced. SG Lewis‘ massive three-hour set to close the Do LaB stage on Saturday night was one of the best of both weekends – and the two masterminds just dropped it on SoundCloud earlier today. This mix is filled to the brim with quality tunes that will immediately put a smile on your face and make you want to groove the day away, so read on for some thoughts from SG Lewis and give it a spin.

The 3-hour set at the Do LaB was probably my favourite experience DJing to date. The extended slot allowed me time to really dive into genres that inspire my own music, and to build slowly in energy over time. I was hesitant to upload the set, as it felt like one of those moments where you had to be there – but listening back to it brings about so many great memories, and so many of you asked so nicely for it. I’ve never received so many messages about a DJ set before, so thanks to everyone for the lovely words. Chopped off the first 15 mins due to an audio issue, but it took me that long to settle in anyway. Hope this recording brings back some great memories to a lot of you too!
