High Contrast looks to Pola & Bryson for the first remix off of his forthcoming remix album celebrating the 20th anniversary of True Colors.
As one of the true legends in the drum and bass scene, High Contrast has continually impressed fans around the world with his stunning releases and performances. In 2020, the UK-based DJ and producer dropped Notes From The Underground and he followed that up in 2021 with even more tunes including “Don’t Need You” with Bou, “Bourgeois Imagery” with Alan Fitzpatrick, and a remix of Bastille’s “No Bad Days.”
Now, High Contrast is gearing up to celebrate 20 years of his massive album True Colors which is set to be filled to the brim with their originals and remixes from other artists in the scene like Camo & Krooked and Mefjus. While fans of the venerated artist will need to wait just a little bit longer to hear the release in full, with a special Record Store Day release of the original album with new artwork on April 23 and the full release on digital arriving on June 24, a first taste of what’s on the horizon has arrived to satiate cravings.
The first remix to land comes from the minds of Pola & Bryson, who have made a name for themselves in the realm of liquid drum and bass with their debut album This Time Last Year. This duo takes High Contrast’s classic track “Music Is Everything” and twists it in their own head-bopping way with soaring energy and the original vocals taking hold of anyone’s soul. Although this is a small sample of what’s to come, Pola & Bryson’s remix effectively sets the tone for just how massive this new edition of True Colors will be, so make sure to give it a spin.
Listen to Pola & Bryson’s remix of “Music Is Everything” on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for the limited edition vinyl and the digital copy of the full True Colors remix album in the coming months!
