BUKU Music + Art Project is making its grand return to New Orleans in 2022 with Porter Robinson, Lane 8, Alison Wonderland, Rezz, and more!
After two years of cancellations due to the pandemic, BUKU Music + Arts Project is gearing up to make quite a splash when it returns to New Orleans on March 25-26. Not only will the festival be returning for the first time since 2019, but they also are celebrating a massive milestone as the beloved experience reaches its 10-Year Anniversary as well – and what better way to mark the occasion than by dropping a massive lineup!
Those making their way to BUKU in 2022 will be treated to a dynamic range of sounds and styles from some of the best artists in the scene today. Immediate standouts include Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator, Glass Animals, Porter Robinson, Alison Wonderland, Rezz, and Lane 8, but the lineup only gets better from there. Others who shouldn’t be missed for those looking to get a dose of impressive soundscapes range from CloZee to Moore Kismet.
Those on the hunt for some solid bass sets should be stoked as there’s a hefty offering at BUKU this year. Everyone from SVDDEN DEATH and TroyBoi to Sullivan King and Liquid Stranger will be taking the stage, along with rising artists in that realm such as Mersiv, Kumarion b2b Reaper, A Hundred Drums, and TVBOO, to name a few. And don’t think that BUKU isn’t giving house and techno some love as well – they’re bringing Amelie Lens, Dom Dolla, John Summit, and J. Worra to the Big Easy for the weekend and those sets are surely ones not to miss.
Beyond the music, BUKU is bringing civic duty to the forefront of their festival with the Take Action Project (TAP) being involved with its mission of raising awareness surrounding social and environmental justice issues. Additionally, they are also supporting Upbeat Academy, a non-profit that empowers youth in New Orleans through music education as well.
GA, GA Plus, and two VIP options (VIP and TOO BUKU) will be available for anyone planning to attend. GA Plus grants access to premium viewing areas, while the VIP option adds on access to the BUKU Rooftop, AC Restrooms, faster entry, and more. TOO BUKU guests will receive all VIP benefits with the addition of a free open bar, access to the Grand Oaks Mansion, lounge seating, a free locker, and unlimited re-entry – plus they will also receive guest list to one of the official BUKU after-parties.
Those planning to attend should head over to The Buku Project website to sign up for the presale. Passes will be available starting on December 17 at 10am CT with the general sale beginning on December 20.
