After already dropping some heaters this year, Shiba San teams up with Nautik for the Drop That Shhh EP on Basement Leak.

Shiba San has been relentlessly producing tracks to give back to the world as the scene recovers from the absence of music with releases like Get High / All The People on Factory 93 Records. Additionally, he’s asserted his dominance on the dancefloor during his appearances at Dirtybird CampINN and Life Is Beautiful, as well as nightclubs across the US. Now, with his set at Outside Lands on the horizon, the house producer has once again delivered hypnotic tunes that stir up excitement by collaborating with Nautik on the Drop That Shhh EP via Basement Leak.

The two artist’s introduction to the EP is the title track that delivers infectious beats into the soul. The sultry, shuffling hi-hats ricochet off the repeated vocals and elevate sensations that give listeners a heightened experience. “Drop That Shhh” abruptly ends after the repeated vocal surfaces in the final seconds and leads directly into the second track “Shake It Down.”

Shiba San and Nautik build the track with arpeggios before surprise elements, including claps and choppy vocals, are layered in to make it pop. The shuffling beats blend seamlessly throughout the track while its dark melodies lead the way and oscillating bass pitches dominate the rhythm to command the mind. The heavy bass and subterranean sounds will have everyone coming back for more after they hear this one on the dancefloor.

Ashley Littlefield

Ashley is a passionate artist from Orange County that loves to escape into Los Angeles to dance any chance she can. Ashley's flair for music started at the young age of six when she received her first Casio keyboard to start her self-discovery through the sound. In High School, she began to learn guitar, write songs, and attended many shows to discover new genres. Her first memory of electronic music is attributed to her parents during a road trip, where her father played Moby in the car. Music helped her grow personally and professionally while studying to earn her Bachelor's of Fine Art degrees in Creative Photography and Illustration at California State University of Fullerton. Jamie xx, Tycho, Ratatat, and Above and Beyond are some of her favorite artists. You can find her in the crowd, grooving, and sharing genuine smiles wherever she goes.
