Skream Drops “Trees” Plus a Remix from Maruwa

Influential electronic artist Skream welcomes the second release on his label, IFEEL with his tune “Trees” and remix from Maruwa.

Influential dubstep don turned house and techno behemoth Skream has had a huge impact on the electronic music scene since first emerging in Croydon. From working with artists and playing sensational sets to recently founding his label, IFEEL, he’s made a name for himself around the globe and is setting the stage for 2021 to be a very promising year. The first release on his new imprint, Chester’s Groove, arrived in style, and now, the second track to surface, “Trees,” is here for your listening pleasure.

On this tune, Skream takes listeners on a slow-burning trip to the depths of the realm of breakbeats as he layers in reverbed vocal samples and raw drums to take listeners to dancefloor heaven. While the first half of the track flourishes with synths the second half delivers some piano grooves over its rolling drums that will immediately transport listeners back to the ’90s. If there’s one tune that will help everyone get back to dancing the night away, it’s this one.

Much akin to Chester’s Groove, the release of “Trees” also includes a fantastic remix to pair with it. This time around Skream has looked to Russian producer Maruwa to tackle the duties of touching up the tune and she does so in style. This cut features acid house elements that do a great job at showcasing her raw, electric talent. The steady yet rippled backbeat blended with heavy synths over its strong bassline emphasizes her unique style that’s full of space-fueled character.

Skream’s undeniable talent continues to lead him to many victories and his IFEEL label is a huge step to growing his name even further in the electronic realm. Check out “Trees” and the remix on your favorite streaming platform and let us know what you think in the comments because these tunes will surely make your want to hit the dancefloor soon.
