Max Styler Explores Longer Track Durations On New EP

**Max Styler embraces the art of longer running times on his latest six-track EP, I Don’t Think I Can Stop. It’s out now via his own imprint, Nu Moda.**

Max Styler has spent the better part of a decade figuring out what happens when you stop chasing someone else’s version of dance music and start trusting your own.

On I Don’t Think I Can Stop, his six-track EP via his own Nu Moda imprint, that realization is clear. Rather than stacking six festival-ready singles back to back, he builds something closer to the arc of an extended DJ set, where one track naturally flows into the other.

“When I release a single, a lot of the time they’re slap-you-in-the-face type tunes,” shared Styler. “I Don’t Think I Can Stop shows a bit more of the journey.”

The EP kicks off with “Body Shake,” perhaps the punchiest dancefloor weapon on the tracklist. Its bass-heavy drop and instant hook are built for crowd response, but Styler leaves enough movement in the production to keep it from feeling like a simple festival button-pusher.

Embracing the art of longer productions, the project eases into “Love Forever,” a disco-laced collaboration with Brighton-based dance music collective Kuuda that feels warm without becoming overly emotional. Its soulful vocals showcase the melodic side of Styler’s sound before “Uh-Oh!” flips the energy. Built around Benni Ola’s voice and a bass house bounce, the latter song feels tailor-made for a room that’s ready to lock into the rhythm.

“Close My Eyes” and “Feel The XTC” carry that energy forward, with choppy rhythms and psychedelic sound design adding more personality to the project. That momentum eventually leads into “Templo Disko,” which gets decidedly weirder, bringing in warped vocals across a four-on-the-floor beat. It’s the kind of left turn that makes it easy to forget that Styler began his journey as a self-taught producer.

The EP feels exploratory as it unfolds, with Styler giving the rhythm and finer production details room to breathe. That patience is key to understanding the project. These aren’t tracks engineered to peak within a 60-second social clip. They’re built for the long game, designed to live inside a longer musical journey and inspire listeners to appreciate longer tracks.

“My sets in general right now are getting longer and longer, and I think the music I’m making lends itself to those extended sets,” said the Max Styler. “The EP reflects a bit of the pacing and sonic identity of my live sets.”

And that’s ultimately where I Don’t Think I Can Stop delivers. Styler isn’t abandoning the big moments that helped establish him in the scene. He’s showing fans what happens between them. The result is a project that feels like its producer is finally comfortable with taking his time.
