BARELY ALIVE has spent over a decade building their legacy in bass music. Known for their technical precision, heavy production, and high-energy performances, the duo helped define the modern brostep movement through releases on Disciple Records and worldwide performances. Now, the duo brings their experiences together on 100% NO AI, a seven-track EP that revisits the sound that helped launch their career.

Explosive and unapologetic, 100% NO AI captures the larger-than-life energy of brostep while incorporating refined production techniques developed throughout the duo’s evolution. With aggressive basslines, cinematic builds, and emotional vocal performances, the EP bridges the genre’s past with its future. It also highlights the creative connections that continue to shape electronic music, with featured collaborations with Ragga Twins, PAV4N, Dani King, Luci, Casey Cook, Edison Cole, TYNAN, Madyx, and LOST FRIEND.

“OVERDRIVE” opens the project with bright melodies, energetic vocals, and massive drops, immediately establishing Barely Alive’s signature intensity. Following that is “POINT BLANK” with Edison Cole and Dani King, which pairs heavy dubstep production with smooth vocals that build over rough guitar riffs, classic bass buildup, and synth lasers blasting at the drop.

“WE SET IT” brings a classic brostep influence through a collaboration with legendary UK vocalists Ragga Twins. Their recognizable make-it-bun-dem delivery adds another layer of energy to the track’s organ-like pianos and reggae horns, with tambourine layers to lighten the bass. Meanwhile, “LAY ME DOWN” shifts toward a more melodic direction, with Luci’s angelic vocals caressing the synths leading into alarmingly sharp robotic textures and vocal cutting.

PAV4N joins BARELY ALIVE on “HUNGER GAMES,” delivering commanding verses over one of the EP’s most aggressive productions. “LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND” introduces a more atmospheric side of the project, with Casey Cook and LOST FRIEND guiding listeners through a melodic build before the track erupts into raw bass energy. Finally, “NO BAD PARTS” sees TYNAN and Madyx join in for a final burst of powerful storytelling and festival-ready drops, bringing the EP to a proper close.
